Dr. sc. Ivana Rukavina graduated in 2010 from the University of Pula, Faculty of Economics and Tourism, with a thesis on “The Importance of Financial Stability”<\/em>, earning a degree in economics. She enrolled in the doctoral study program in economics and business economics at the University of Zagreb in 2012, and on November 14, 2018, she earned the academic degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences by defending her doctoral dissertation titled “Political Economic Cycles from the Fiscal and Monetary Aspects”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After completing her undergraduate studies in 2010, she worked in an accounting service as an assistant in bookkeeping. She was an external associate for the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS), involved in data analysis and processing. She completed her internship in 2014 in the private sector, where she continued her professional development in roles such as business controller and manager, staying in this position until completing her doctoral studies. In 2019, she began working at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), where she worked as an assistant in the Department of European Integration on scientific and research tasks. She is also an external collaborator at the Department of Economic Theory, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb.<\/p>\n

She has advanced her scientific knowledge by participating in workshops and seminars in the fields of applied econometrics, panel analysis, spatial econometric modeling, and experimental research design methods. Additionally, she has attended programs on structural reforms, finance, political economy, economic trends, and macroeconomic forecasting organized by the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and supported by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).<\/p>\n

Her scientific and research work focuses on economic cycles, economic growth, macroeconomic models, economic integration, institutional frameworks, as well as fiscal and monetary policy.<\/p>\n

She has attended several international conferences, where she has lectured on topics related to her field of work. She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers on finance and macroeconomics. She is a collaborator on two scientific projects funded by the European Commission, focusing on the impact of the European Semester and industrial relations on public policies and socio-economic development in the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n
