PIN (OIB)
Once you become our student you will become also a resident of Croatia!
Due to Croatian law, all residents of Republic of Croatia (no matter if they are staying here for short or longer period of time) need to obtain an PIN (OIB number). PIN stands for personal
identification number and each resident has its own, unique number. PIN is important if you want to:
- get an student X-card ( provides you many discounts)
- open a bank account in Croatia
- get cheaper public transport pass (ZET card)
- work in Croatia
Obtaining an PIN is very simple and fast. Please check all the necessary steps on this link.
We recommend getting your PIN by personally going to the Main Tax Office in Avenija Dubrovnik 32 (working hours – from 8 – 15h) where you will get your PIN in 10 minutes. Please just bring a copy of your identification document with yourself when going to the Main Tax Office.
