After completing IX Gymnasium in Zagreb and B.F. Terry High School in Houston, Texas, USA, she enrolled at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, where she graduated in 1996. After graduation, she pursued a postgraduate scientific study in civil law and passed the bar exam in 1998. In 2018, she enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Zagreb and defended her dissertation in 2020 on the topic “Historical and Legal Foundations for the Revision of Convictions by the Courts of Former Yugoslavia, with an Emphasis on the Revision of the Conviction Against Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac.”

From 1997 to 1999, she worked as a judicial trainee (volunteer) at the Municipal Court in Zagreb and as a trainee at the County Court in Zagreb. She later became a judicial advisor at the Municipal Court in Zagreb. In 2002, she was appointed as a judge of the Municipal Court in Zlatar, handling general and juvenile criminal cases, labor disputes, and non-contentious cases. From 2008 to 2011, she worked at the Municipal Criminal Court in Zagreb under a temporary transfer order from the President of the Supreme Court of Croatia. She also served at the Criminal Department of the Supreme Court of Croatia as a senior judicial advisor and was assigned part-time as the Secretary of the State Judicial Council.

Since 2011, she has been a judge of the County Court in Zagreb, First Instance Criminal Department, the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, and the Department for War Crimes. In 2021, she was appointed as a judge of the High Criminal Court of the Republic of Croatia. She serves as the Head of the Department for Monitoring and Studying Judicial Practice of Courts at the Council of Europe and the European Union and is an EJN (European Judicial Network) contact point. Additionally, she represents the High Criminal Court of Croatia on the Expert Council for the Execution of Judgments and Decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
