Legal Week Held – EFFECTUS Participated in Practical Legal Education Program
From May 5th to 8th, 2025, Legal Week took place—a project organized by the student association eSTUDENT, aimed at law students, students from related academic programs, and young legal professionals. The objective of the program was to bring the realities of the legal profession closer to participants through a series of interactive activities that go beyond traditional theoretical education.
The program opened on May 5th at EFFECTUS University College with a lecture by Professor Dr. Romana Matanovac Vučković titled “How Can Influencers Avoid Costly Mistakes?”. Additional lectures were held at Effectus on May 8th, including a session on “Sextortion” delivered by Tea Čičić, Master of Social Work, from the Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as an interactive lecture titled “A Legal Compass – What Comes After Graduation?” led by lawyer and content creator Anamarija Gjud, mag. iur. (Legal Foodie).
Participants also had the opportunity to engage in a simulated mediation workshop in collaboration with the Croatian Mediation Association, take part in the social game Murder Mystery, and visit the renowned law firm Šavorić & Partners as well as the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Criminalistics.
Legal Week once again demonstrated the importance of practical components in legal education for a deeper understanding of the profession and the professional development of young lawyers. EFFECTUS University College proudly hosted part of the program and supported this initiative that bridges academia and legal practice.
