In a pre-holiday atmosphere of unity and pride, the EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences hosted the formal Dean’s Awards and Recognitions Ceremony on December 18, honoring the most successful students, staff members, and partner institutions. This event was not merely a formal acknowledgment of excellence, but a truly emotional occasion filled with surprises that deeply touched the hearts of all those present. According to Dean Jelena Uzelac, PhD, these recognitions symbolize our shared commitment and serve as proof that effort and passion for knowledge always bear fruit.
“Each individual and each institution here tonight is a beacon guiding our academic community toward a brighter future,” stated Dean Uzelac.

The ceremony celebrated not only the individual achievements of students and employees, but also the long-standing contributions of institutions whose work and cooperation help shape the foundations of scientific and educational advancement. In doing so, it reaffirmed the importance of unity and partnership in achieving high standards and fostering innovation within the academic community.

The loudest applause followed the official awards presentation, when long-standing members of the academic community were invited to the stage: Marija Miličević, newly awarded a doctoral degree; Jelena Uzelac, marking an impressive fifteen years of dedication to the University of Applied Sciences; and Blaženka Deanović and Đuro Horvat, who celebrated ten years of committed service. None of the four had anticipated this surprise, making the moment not only deeply emotional but also an inspiring acknowledgment of lasting dedication and passion for knowledge and community.

This event once again confirms that commitment, effort, and perseverance are the cornerstones of success. EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences continuously celebrates those who, through their work, knowledge, and enthusiasm, shape the future and inspire generations to come.
