Danijela Pongrac, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer at Tehničko veleučilište Zagreb (Zagreb University of Applied Sciences), Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, in the field of Social Sciences, with a specialization in Information and Communication Sciences.
She has been employed at Zagreb University of Applied Sciences since 2007, progressing from Teaching Assistant to Lecturer and, in 2023, to Senior Lecturer. She is the course leader for Computer Applications, Spreadsheet Data Analysis, and Office Organization and Informatization. Her work includes curriculum development, advancement of teaching methodology, and supervision of student theses. She actively publishes scientific and professional papers in international and national publications.
She received her PhD in 2023 from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, in Information and Communication Sciences. Her doctoral dissertation, “Diffusion of Information in the Academic Environment,” focused on knowledge management. She graduated in Pedagogy from the same faculty in 1998.
Her professional and research interests include knowledge management, organization and accessibility of information, digital competences, and the application of information systems in education. In teaching and project work, she utilizes tools and systems such as Microsoft Office (including Excel with VBA), SharePoint, the Moodle LMS platform, and SPSS.
She has participated in and led various professional projects, including the implementation of document management systems, the development of e-learning solutions, projects related to children’s online safety, and the development of study programs in accordance with the Croatian Qualifications Framework.
