Nikolina Bačurin, B.Sc. Oec.

Nikolina Bačurin, B.Sc. Oec.,graduated in 2004 from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics, and earned the title of graduate economist.

After completing her master’s degree, she began working for the City of Velika Gorica, first as a trainee, then as a professional associate for procurement, followed by the position of Head of the Public Procurement Office, and later as Head of the Public Procurement Department. In December 2005, she passed the state professional exam with a specialized part in public procurement. In December 2006, she completed a specialized course organized by World Learning, USAID’s Participan Training Program (PTP), and the Urban Institute in the UK on Public Procurement. Additionally, in 2009, she completed training for a public procurement trainer at the Public Procurement System Directorate, Ministry of Labor and Entrepreneurship, and that same year, after completing a training program at the Ministry of Economy, Labor, and Entrepreneurship, she successfully passed the exam and obtained a certificate confirming her knowledge and skills in public procurement.

From May 2012 to April 2014, she worked at the Center for Monitoring the Business of the Energy Sector and Investments as an advisor for public procurement. In July 2012, she attended the “Trainer Training Program in Public Procurement” organized under the EU project “Training in Public Procurement in the Western Balkans and Turkey.”

In 2014, she began working at the Hydrocarbons Agency as the director of the Legal and General Affairs Sector. In December 2016, she started working at the Croatian Lottery as the Head of the Public Procurement Service, where she remained until July 2017. She then became the director and owner of Public Tenders Ltd., where she currently works.

She is a speaker at conferences, seminars, and workshops in the field of public procurement and is the author and co-author of several expert articles on public procurement.

She is a permanent lecturer in public procurement training programs and professional development organized by accredited program providers. Additionally, starting in 2024, she will be a lecturer at Effectus College, teaching Public Procurement.
