At the ceremonial session of the Council of Polytechnics held on June 10, 2025, in Knin, Prof. Đuro Horvat, PhD, Professor of Professional Studies, was awarded the Charter of the Council of Polytechnics for his significant contribution to the development of professional study programmes in the Republic of Croatia.

He was nominated by EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, and selected by the Council’s Commission based on his exceptional merits and lasting contribution to the development of the Council of Polytechnics, professional study programmes, and universities of applied sciences as a whole, as well as the promotion of their status and reputation both in Croatia and abroad.

The ceremony brought together the heads of all polytechnics and universities of applied sciences in Croatia, representatives of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, local authorities, and numerous distinguished guests and stakeholders in the higher education system.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Prof. Đuro Horvat, PhD, on this important recognition and take pride in the fact that the excellence and dedication of our academic staff have been acknowledged at the national level.
