EFFECTUS University College Students Participate in Erasmus+ BIP Programme in Belgrade

First-year students of the Professional Short Study Programme in Entrepreneurship at EFFECTUS University College, Manuela Bilobrk and Lana Topalović, successfully participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Doing Good While Doing Well in Business”, organized by the Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship in Belgrade.

The programme consisted of a virtual session held on April 23, 2025, followed by a physical mobility component in Belgrade from May 5 to 9, 2025. Upon completion, the students earned 3 ECTS credits.

This multidisciplinary programme aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable entrepreneurship by combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. It focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset that fosters positive social, environmental, and economic impact.

The programme covered the following thematic units:

  • What is Sustainable Entrepreneurship?

  • What Does “Doing Good” Mean in the Context of Sustainable Business?

  • New Approaches to Business and the Promotion of Social Responsibility

  • The Power of Purpose: “Doing Well by Doing Good”

  • How Sustainable Approaches Can Enhance Business Performance

Through interactive lectures, teamwork, and practical assignments, the students explored key aspects of sustainable business strategies and discussed the importance of integrating social and environmental responsibility into entrepreneurial projects. This educational approach prepares them to lead enterprises that strive not only for profit but also for creating value for society as a whole.

Reflections from Lana and Manuela:

Our Erasmus+ BIP Experience in Belgrade – An Unforgettable Journey!

We had the opportunity to take part in the BIP Erasmus programme in Belgrade, and it was truly amazing! We arrived a day early to explore the city before the programme started. We spent Sunday walking around, enjoying dinner, and going out for a bit – and we immediately fell in love with the city.

We applied because we were drawn to the location and wanted to experience Erasmus firsthand. Belgrade impressed us from the start –  the people were incredibly hospitable, everyone welcomed us warmly, and the overall atmosphere was very friendly and pleasant. The programme itself was very interesting – each participating country presented their own, and through social activities, we also got to know the city. We visited the Temple of Saint Sava, strolled through Belgrade’s parks, took a boat ride on the river, and tasted amazing traditional Serbian food at a beautiful restaurant. We met several girls from other countries with whom we’re still in touch, and working in an international environment was a truly special experience. Our favorite moment was definitely the boat ride – a wonderful experience with stunning views of the city from the water. We would recommend the BIP programme to any student who wants to meet new people, gain valuable experiences, and discover what it’s like to study and live in another country. For us, it was truly a beautiful experience – and we’re definitely coming back!

We are proud of Manuela and Lana for excellently representing our University College at the international level while expanding their knowledge and competencies in the field of modern entrepreneurship.

Congratulations on your success!
