Director, Croatian Insurance Bureau, Zagreb

Since 2007, Hrvoje Pauković has been the Director of the Croatian Insurance Bureau. He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, where he also completed a postgraduate program in International Trade, Transport, and Insurance Law, earning the title of Master of Laws (LL.M.).

He began his career as a trainee lawyer before entering the insurance sector in 2001 at Croatia osiguranje d.d.. In 2004, he was appointed Director of the Legal, HR, and General Affairs Sector.

Professional Qualifications & Training:

• Passed the bar exam

• Licensed securities broker

• Completed insurance specialization at the School of Insurance, St. John’s University, New York, USA

Academic & Industry Contributions:

• Guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb and Rijeka

• Lecturer at Effectus College of Law and Finance in Zagreb

International & National Roles:

• Executive Board Member of Insurance Europe (European Federation of Insurers and Reinsurers)

• Vice President of the Council of Bureaux (Brussels) 2014–2017, currently serving on its Supervisory Board after two terms on the Management Board

• Executive Board Member of the Croatian Employers’ Association, Financial Business Association, and Vice President since 2021

• Member of the National Road Traffic Safety Program Task Force (Croatian Ministry of the Interior)

• President of the Croatian Association for Insurance Law, the national branch of AIDA International
