About thirty faculty members and the leadership of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences held a joint meeting on September 25, ahead of the start of the new academic year. Classes for students of the “Entrepreneurship” and “Finance and Business Law” programs, as well as for first-year students of the “Business Management MBA” program, will begin on Monday, October 6, while classes for second-year graduate students will start in the second half of October, as stated at the meeting.

The Vice-Dean for Teaching also presented the academic calendar for this semester:

• Dean’s exam period – October 24, 2025

• Midterm Exam Period 1 – November 17 to November 28

• Midterm Exam Period 2 – January 26 to February 6

• Winter Exam Period – February 9 to February 20 – for the “Entrepreneurship” and “Finance and Business Law” programs and for first-year “Business Management MBA” students

• Winter Exam Period for second-year “Business Management MBA” students – March 2 to March 25

• Start of classes for the spring semester is planned for February 17, 2025

Ivana Radman Livaja, M.Sc. in Economics, Chief Secretary of the University, reminded the attendees, among other things, about the composition of the Committee for Student Requests and Appeals, presented the criteria for selection to teaching positions, as well as the key legal acts of the university.

Vice-Dean for Teaching, Dr. Jelena Uzelac, presented the teaching modalities, stating that classes for students of the “Entrepreneurship” and “Finance and Business Law” programs, as well as first-year “Business Management MBA” students, will follow a weekly schedule from Monday to Thursday. Second-year “Business Management MBA” students will attend classes from Thursday to Saturday, with a two-week rotation per subject and breaks for preparation.

It was additionally emphasized that 30% of all classes for all programs will be held online, providing students with greater flexibility and accessibility to course content.
