Dr. Bruna Gerardi delivered a guest lecture at EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences for first-year students of Entrepreneurship and first-year students of Finance and Business Law. The topic of the lecture was the development of artificial intelligence throughout history, its connection with robotics, and the presentation of her own theoretical model for integrating artificial intelligence and robotic systems into a social context.

At the core of the lectures, held on March 24 and 25, were the development of artificial intelligence from its beginnings to modern applications, the classification and types of robots, the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, and their interrelationship through a model that defines artificial intelligence as the cognitive component and robotics as the operational dimension of the system. As part of the courses Introduction to Law and the Judicial System of the Republic of Croatia and Entrepreneurship and Innovation, students were shown in a clear and engaging way how intelligent technologies are evolving and how they are increasingly shaping the business, legal, and social environment.

The lecture gained additional value through visual and video materials featuring examples of practical applications, as well as interactive elements such as a quiz, which encouraged active student participation and the development of critical thinking about the role of intelligent technologies in society.

“Artificial intelligence and robotics today represent a fusion of the cognitive and operational intelligence of systems, and their application is increasingly influencing the way we learn, work, and make decisions,” emphasized Dr. Gerardi, who is engaged in research and education in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and innovation management, with a focus on developing her own models that connect the cognitive and operational dimensions of intelligent systems and their application in society and business.

The strong interest and active participation of students once again confirmed the importance of current topics that connect technology, innovation, and society. It is particularly encouraging that students expressed interest in future workshops in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, opening up opportunities for new professional and practical educational events at EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences.
