Professor of Professional Studies with Permanent Title

Miroslav Gregurek was elected in 2018 to the permanent title of professor at a higher education institution in the scientific field of social sciences, specifically in economics, with a focus on finance.

Born on June 21, 1955, he completed high school in Vukovar in 1974. He pursued his studies at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, where he obtained his undergraduate degree (1980), master’s degree (2000), and doctorate (2012). He has over 30 years of work experience in banking and finance, having worked at Privredna banka Zagreb and the United Bank of Croatia. In 2002, he passed the exam to become a licensed broker.

He was employed full-time at Baltazar Zaprešić Polytechnic until his retirement (2013-2020). He has also taught as an external associate at several universities (VERN, Libertas) and polytechnics (Effectus, RRIF) in Zagreb.

At Effectus Polytechnic, he is the course holder for Banking and Banking Operations and Bank Management.

He has participated in numerous domestic and international conferences and symposia, with his works published in conference proceedings and scientific journals. He is the author and co-author of five books and textbooks on banking and finance, as well as 16 scientific papers, 45 professional papers, and numerous studies in finance and investment banking.
