Graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb in 1996 with a focus on Business Economics – Finance. Earned a Master’s degree in International Finance from Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg in 1997. He obtained a PhD in Law from the European Faculty of Law (Nova University) in Nova Gorica (Slovenia). Throughout his career, he has continuously engaged in professional development. He obtained the right to use the CFA title from the CFA Institute (USA) in 2001. In the same year, he obtained the Pension Fund Manager license from Hagene. In 2003, he received the Investment Advisor license from the Securities Commission, and in 2009, he obtained the right to use the CIPM title, also from the CFA Institute.
He started working in 1998 at the Croatian National Bank, where he was involved in managing foreign exchange reserves. In 2000, he moved to Zagrebačka Bank, where he worked on establishing investment and pension funds. In 2002, he joined the investment management company ZB Invest within the Zagrebačka Bank Group, where he held various management positions until 2012. From 2012 to 2018, he served as the President of the Management Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA). Since 2018, he has been working as an independent consultant on numerous capital market development and regulation projects across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Since 2019, he has been employed as a board member at Feelsgood Capital Partners d.o.o., a company managing alternative investment funds.
Since 2014, he has been a lecturer at the EFFECTUS Entrepreneurial Study – Higher Education Institution, initially as a Lecturer, and since 2019, as a Senior Lecturer. From January 24, 2019, to July 14, 2021, he was employed as a permanent staff member at EFFECTUS Entrepreneurial Study – Higher Education Institution, and since then, he has been participating as an external associate.
