The central topic of the Business and Economic Council session of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, held on February 2, was the further strengthening of the connection between education and the real needs of the labour market, as well as the shaping of the Strategic Development Framework of the institution for the period 2026–2030. In addition to Council members, members of the Alumni Council also participated in the session, further confirming the importance of a partnership-based approach in the development of education and professional study programmes.

The Council confirmed the membership of new members, further expanding the network of business partners and experts who will contribute, through their knowledge and experience, to the development of the institution and the quality of teaching. The new members are Vinka Ilak (FINA), Darko Horvatin (HMID), and Sabina Škrtić (SAHEM CONSULTING). These additions confirm the continued policy of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences to develop education in cooperation with key stakeholders from the economy and labour market.

The focus is on defining the direction of development in the coming period, with particular emphasis on connecting the academic and business sectors, improving professional staff and teaching quality, strengthening innovation and applied knowledge, and developing new programmes aligned with market needs.

The participation of members of the Alumni Council demonstrates how EFFECTUS continues to build a community that connects students, alumni, and the economy. Alumni not only support the development of the institution but also actively participate in shaping educational programmes and business cooperation.
