Senior Lecturer

Toni Miljak, M.Sc. Oec., was born in Split, where after completing primary and secondary school, he enrolled at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Split, graduating in Finance. He completed his university postgraduate specialist study in Accounting in 2023 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka, where he is currently pursuing a postgraduate doctoral study in Economics and Business Economics.

Since 2010, he has been involved in teaching courses in accounting and finance at higher education institutions such as the University Department of Professional Studies at the University of Split, Aspira Polytechnic, the Polytechnic of Šibenik, the Međimurje Polytechnic in Čakovec, and the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka. At some institutions, he held positions as head of study programs and vice-dean for teaching and quality. Since March 2024, he has also been involved in teaching at Effectus Polytechnic.

He has published more than 20 scientific and professional papers in the fields of accounting and finance, some of which are indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and EconLit databases. He is the sole author of a university textbook on accounting. Under his mentorship, more than 70 final and graduate theses have been successfully defended.

Additionally, he has several years of experience in the private sector, where he worked in positions as an accounting associate, financial advisor, and project manager. He currently successfully runs a legal entity that he owns, dealing with expertise in the fields of accounting and finance.
