• A lifelong learning program focused on effective healthcare system management records exceptional interest, with more applications than available places

EFFECTUS University College, a leading institution in lifelong education, in cooperation with the Croatian Association of Employers in Healthcare, launched the new cycle of the lifelong learning program “Mini MBA: Healthcare Management” on 20 November. The program has generated remarkable interest—far more candidates applied than the approximately 30 available spots—clearly confirming the importance and relevance of modern education aimed at effective management in the healthcare sector.

The eleventh cohort will acquire key knowledge and skills needed for efficient healthcare management through six thematic modules. These modules include: General Management, Economic and Financial Management, Legal Aspects, Digitalization, Medical and Health Topics, and Quality Management.

The program was opened by Prof. Đuro Horvat, PhD, and Dražen Jurković, MD, MSc, who also serve as lead lecturers. They emphasized that the goal of this educational program is to equip managers and potential leaders with the competencies required to address challenges in managing healthcare institutions, health insurance systems, and healthcare administration at all levels.

The program consists of a total of 236 hours, of which 152 are dedicated to theoretical instruction, while the remaining 84 hours are allocated to practical exercises and seminar work. Lectures and exercises are organized according to a predefined schedule.

Upon completion, participants will acquire competencies for managing healthcare institutions, a deep understanding of the legal and economic frameworks of the healthcare system, the ability to apply modern management tools, and the skills needed to analyze financial statements and manage business risks.
