Career Debate, Employer Networking, Study Programme Presentations, Erasmus Day, and HIT PUB QUIZ for High School Graduates

EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences is organizing a Career Day and Open House event, which will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the University’s premises.

This event brings together students, high school graduates, employers, and partners with the aim of presenting study opportunities, career development pathways, and fostering connections between academia and the business sector.

The programme begins at 4:00 PM with a tour of employer and partner stands, where students will have the opportunity to engage directly with company and organization representatives and learn more about employment opportunities, internships, and career development.

The central part of the programme will take place from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, when EFFECTUS students will participate in a debate on one of the most relevant dilemmas faced by young people in the labour market – what is more important when choosing a career: personal passion or financial security.

The debate will feature both affirmative and opposing student teams presenting arguments for and against the stated proposition, while the winning team will be selected by a jury composed of representatives of employers and partners of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences.

At 6:00 PM, a presentation of EFFECTUS study programmes will follow, during which students will share their academic experiences in the following programmes:

• Entrepreneurship
• Finance and Business Law
• Business Management – MBA

As part of the programme, an Erasmus Day will also be held, where students will present opportunities for international mobility and studying abroad through the Erasmus programme.

From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, visitors will have the opportunity to visit information stands of the study programmes, speak with students, and learn more about studying at EFFECTUS.

The final part of the event features the HIT PUB QUIZ FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES – consisting of questions from the national graduation exam – starting at 7:00 PM. This is an engaging and interactive competition in which participants can test their knowledge in areas relevant to the national exam.

Participation in the pub quiz is free of charge; however, due to limited capacity, prior registration is required.
