She obtained her undergraduate degree, a Master of Science, and a Doctorate in Social Sciences, Humanities and Theology in the field of Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. She passed the Bar Exam and is listed in the Register of Scientists maintained by the Ministry of Science and Education in the scientific field of Law under the identification number 215203.
After completing her studies, she worked at the company Sloga, later Sloga-Nova, as a legal officer and Director of the Legal, Human Resources, and General Affairs Department. She served as a judge at the Municipal Court in Zagreb and the Zagreb Civil Court, as well as a mentor judge. After professional development, she was appointed as a mediator judge.
She served as a Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia during the term from 2008 to 2016. In recognition of her work on the Constitutional Court, the Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights awarded her the Miko Tripalo Award for her contributions to the protection and promotion of human rights in Croatia, exceeding professional obligations and the usual standards within socio-political structures.
At the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, she taught the course Constitutional Law, and at the College of Social Sciences in Zagreb, she lectured in Comparative Constitutional Law. At Effectus University College, in addition to her role as Head of the Department of Law and her involvement as course leader and lecturer in several subjects, she has mentored dozens of undergraduate and graduate theses. She is a recipient of the Effectus Dean’s Award for Academic Staff Excellence in Teaching.
She is the author of the book The Creation of the Croatian Constitution, which is a peer-reviewed teaching material classified for the course Introduction to the Law and Judicial System of the Republic of Croatia. She has also authored chapters in several books and more than thirty scientific, professional, and other papers in the field of constitutional law and other branches of law. She has served as a reviewer for numerous papers published in scientific and professional journals.
She has participated in numerous national and international academic and professional conferences as an organizer, moderator, lecturer, and speaker, including more than ten invited lectures.
She is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal FIP – Finance and Law, a former editorial board member of the journal Croatian Judiciary in Focus, and a member of the editorial board of the journal Judge. She is also a member of the Croatian Association for Constitutional Law.
