It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce that Blaženka Deanović, M.Econ., Head of the Career Center at EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, has been awarded the Recognition of the Croatian Council of Universities of Applied Sciences for her outstanding contribution to the development of professional and teaching activities in the field of social sciences.

The decision to grant the award was adopted by the Croatian Council of Universities of Applied Sciences at its 9th regular session held on June 1, 2026, following the recommendation of the Awards and Recognition Committee and in accordance with the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education, the Rules of Procedure of the Council of Universities of Applied Sciences, and the Regulations on Awards and Recognitions of the Council.

The award was formally presented at the Ceremonial Session of the Croatian Council of Universities of Applied Sciences, held on July 2, 2026, at Lavoslav Ružička University of Applied Sciences in Vukovar. The event brought together representatives of universities of applied sciences from across Croatia. During the ceremony, awards and plaques were presented to individuals whose work has made an exceptional contribution to the development of professional higher education, teaching excellence, and the strengthening of the university of applied sciences system in the Republic of Croatia.

This recognition represents a valuable national acknowledgment of Blaženka Deanović’s professional and teaching achievements and serves as confirmation of her many years of dedicated contribution to the development of social sciences, the quality of teaching, and the advancement of professional study programs. At the same time, it is also a recognition of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, which continuously promotes excellence among its faculty, the development of professional competencies, and the enhancement of higher education quality.
