“Professional practice is the first step toward the professional lives of our students. Through this workshop, we provided them with practical advice and tools to help them better navigate their future work environment,” emphasized Prof. Sanja Gutić Martinčić, PhD.

On January 23, a mandatory workshop was held in the Mljet Hall of EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences for students enrolling in the course Professional Practice during the current academic year. The workshop was led by Prof. Sanja Gutić Martinčić, PhD, and its objective was not only to provide students with the digital signature required for the course, but also to prepare them for real workplace challenges—from drafting a résumé to demonstrating professional conduct in the workplace.

The workshop covered topics such as résumé (CV) preparation, interview readiness, and key rules of professional behavior in the workplace. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences, further enriching the practical dimension of the event.

The workshop was attended by full-time second-year students of the Entrepreneurship study program, full-time second-year students of the Finance and Business Law study program, part-time second-year students who are not employed, as well as full-time and part-time third-year students of the Finance and Business Law study program for whom Professional Practice is a differential course requirement and who are not currently employed.

Students evaluated the workshop as highly beneficial. “I now feel more confident in preparing my CV and presenting myself to employers. The workshop provided practical advice that I can apply immediately,” said one of the students.
